Subaru of Gallatin has once again partnered with Blood Cancer United® (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. This year's partnership involved delivering blankets, 10 patient care kits, and messages of hope to cancer patients. On June 18, Subaru of Gallatin personally delivered these items to patients in treatment at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, marking their first year participating in the initiative. The impact was immediate and meaningful for patients and families. According to Julie Bulger, Senior Program Manager of Patient and Family-Centered Care at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, "It was just such a lovely gesture – the pillows/blankets were so high-quality, and the messages of hope are still providing inspiration in our hematology waiting rooms." In the weeks following the delivery, she has had several recipients stop by to express their appreciation to Subaru. Bulger added, "It feels good to be thought about and supported by the larger community in such difficult times." The staff, patients, and their families send along their heartfelt gratitude to Subaru of Gallatin and Subaru of America for partnering with the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center!

At 85 years old, Eben Appleton treasures something many of us take for granted, the ability to remain in the home she loves. Nestled in her cozy log cabin in Gallatin, Eben has built a life filled with cherished memories. She loves sitting in her favorite chair by the front windows, reading a good book while watching her neighbors come and go. Her home isn't just where she lives, it's where she feels safe, independent, and connected to the community she has called home for years. Like many older adults, however, staying independent has become more challenging. The work of maintaining her home and yard has grown harder with age. After recently breaking her wrist in a fall, even the simplest tasks became overwhelming. Eben no longer drives, but thanks to Community Life Ride, a program of Community Life Bridge, volunteer drivers help her get where she needs to go. During one ride, she quietly shared with her driver that she'd lived in her home for 12 years and had never been able to clean the inside of her windows. She had hoped to do it herself after the outside was washed, but her injury made that impossible. As they pulled into her driveway, she pointed to the flower bed surrounding her favorite tree. She smiled as she talked about how much she missed tending it, then admitted she wasn't sure she'd ever be able to get back on her hands and knees to garden again. It wasn't a request for help, it was simply the honest reality of growing older. When Eben's story reached Subaru of Gallatin, the team knew they couldn't let her face those challenges alone. For several years, Community Life Bridge and Subaru of Gallatin have partnered together with one shared purpose: caring for older adults in our community. Through this partnership, lives are changed not only through transportation and practical assistance, but through compassion, dignity, and genuine human connection. Manager Jason Peebles immediately asked, "How can we help?" The answer was simple. Subaru of Gallatin provided for a handyman to clean Eben's windows, refresh her flower bed, and tackle the projects she could no longer do herself. Suddenly, the view from her favorite chair was crystal clear, and the flowers outside her porch once again became a source of joy. Eben was overwhelmed! Not because her windows sparkled or her garden looked beautiful, but because someone cared enough to notice her needs and step in with kindness. This is what the Subaru Love Promise® looks like in action. 15-Year-Old Birthday Party - Jason P.

Subaru of Gallatin got wind of a local 15-year-old girl named Harley, whose family was living in a hotel in Middle Tennessee. This girl's birthday wish was to have a birthday party at a local bowling alley called Circus World; she had even made a flyer believing that somehow this would happen. Knowing that the family couldn't incur that type of expense, the GM (Jason Peebles) went to the bowling alley and spoke with the manager Kaitlyn to make this birthday surprise a success. Kaitlyn was happy to help and made sure that she got in contact with the mother of Harley to arrange for the Extreme Party Package. Subaru of Gallatin covered the cost of the party to make sure that Harley would have her party despite the tough situation the family was in.

Hope When It Was Needed Most - Darla T.

At Gallatin Shalom Zone, we have the privilege of walking alongside families who are doing everything they can to build a better future despite overwhelming challenges. Sometimes, one act of generosity can provide more than financial relief - it can restore hope. Recently, Subaru of Gallatin blessed two families in our community by paying their electric and utility bills during a particularly difficult season. One of those families is led by a devoted foster mom who has opened her home and heart to children who have experienced abuse and trauma. Every day, she works to provide them with the safety, stability, and love they deserve while helping them heal from painful experiences. Caring for children with complex needs comes with significant emotional and financial demands, and this unexpected gift eased a burden so she could continue focusing on what matters most—helping these children discover hope and a brighter future. The second family is a hardworking single mother who has been striving to make ends meet while providing for her children. Like so many families, rising expenses have stretched her budget to its limits. Knowing her utility bills were taken care of brought tremendous relief and reminded her that her community sees her, cares for her, and is cheering her on. We are deeply grateful to Subaru of Gallatin for their compassion and generosity. Their kindness did more than keep the lights on - it reminded these families that they are not alone. Acts of generosity like this create ripple effects of hope, encouragement, and stability that extend far beyond a single bill. We had the oppurtunity to Share the love at Vanderbilt -Ingram Cancer Center and while were there, one of our amazing receptionist, who was admitted there for surgery. We were able to share the love to him and the rest of the nurses at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center Milkshakes from one of the popular place ''THE LEGENDARY MILKSHAKE BAR,'' great customer service and great SHakes!! The past year has been especially difficult for Mary Jane. For years, she has quietly lived with a medical condition that causes mini seizures. They often happen without warning and without anyone around her even realizing it. While others may not notice, Mary Jane knows when an episode has occurred. It is a reality she has learned to navigate with remarkable strength and resilience. But when additional health challenges arise, even the routines of everyday life can become overwhelming. Over the last year, Mary Jane experienced several falls that led to hospital stays and time in rehabilitation facilities. Each setback brought new concerns about her safety and independence at home. Like so many older adults facing health challenges, she was determined to continue living life on her own terms, but she needed support to do so safely. When Jason Peebles, Manager of Subaru of Gallatin, learned about Mary Jane's situation, he didn't hesitate. He saw a need and immediately offered to provide fall mats for her home—simple items that could make a profound difference. His response wasn't driven by obligation; it was driven by compassion. In many ways, Mary Jane and Jason share something special: a genuine love for people. Mary Jane has never met a stranger. Sit beside her in a doctor's office waiting room, and chances are you'll leave having made a new friend. Her warmth and kindness naturally draw people in. Jason brings that same spirit to the work he does every day. Through his leadership, Subaru of Gallatin has built a culture centered on caring for others and taking action when needs arise. It's easy to hear someone's story and think, "That's unfortunate." It's much harder—and far more meaningful—to respond. The team at Subaru of Gallatin chooses to do more than sympathize. Community means people coming together to support, respect, and uplift one another. It's not about isolation, but connection—neighbors helping neighbors, sharing resources, and working through challenges as a team. In true community, problems aren’t just accepted—they’re faced together. At Community Life Bridge, we identify and respond to unmet needs of older adults in our county. Through our volunteer-driven transportation program, Community Life Ride (CLR), we serve individuals aged 60+ who have made the decision to stop driving. With a goal of providing reliable, affordable rides that not only meet practical needs, but we also foster connection between drivers and riders. By offering varying levels of service, our volunteers help older adults maintain independence and dignity during this stage of life. Subaru of Gallatin has been a valuable partner in supporting our Community Life Ride (CLR) program. They understand the importance of reliable transportation and have consistently demonstrated their commitment to serving older adults in our community. Through the Subaru Share the Love Event, they provided essential funding for our daily operations and helped raise awareness about our mission by sharing our story with their customers. Their support extends beyond funding—they’ve joined us in celebration, even dressing up to present personalized awards at our annual Holiday Brunch for riders, drivers, board members and staff. For the past three years, Subaru of Gallatin has also sponsored our annual Be the Bridge fundraiser, which highlights the needs of our riders and honors those making a difference. Their continued generosity empowers us to expand our services and dream bigger as we work to meet more unmet needs in our community.

SUBARU ALWAYS HAS A SPARE BECAUSE WE CARE!! - DONALD C.

Mr. Donald Cox was visiting from Ohin when he ran into an issue with his tire. He was hoping to find out if he has tire and wheel coverage for the tire. Unfortunately, we were unable to inform him due to his vehicle being purchased at a dealership in Ohio. Mr. Cox was hoping the situation cleared before his trip back to Ohio due to him being on a spare. Subaru of Gallatin was able to provide him a NEW TIRE for FREE that fit as closely to the tires already on the vehicle. Mr. Cox was informed the tire would need to be changed and matched with the current ones on the vehicle, but the tire provided would safely get him back home safely. BETTER WAY YOUR WAY!!

Subaru of Gallatin generously donated to Guild Elementary teachers to get the school year started. The teachers selected were all new to Guild. Each of these teachers received a generous donation of classroom supplies and $500 to purchase items on their classroom wishlist. This will impact student learning and achievement by allowing teachers to purchase items they feel support their students' learning. Guild is thankful for this generous donation. It will impact many students and support the classrooms of six teachers. Thank you again Gallatin Subaru!

ROAD TRIP FROM OHIO -TN - MIRACLE K.

Miss Stephanie visited our location as a walk- in on May 1st, 2025. Stephanie was on a road trip from Ohio and on her way to her motel, her dog fell ill. Once arriving back to the motel, she realized her credit card had been completely compromised and cash was stolen from her wallet. After realizing what had happened, she went out to resolve the issue when her check engine light came on. Stephanie brought the vehicle in to our location, upon inspection we found that she had a faulty gas cap, causing the check engine light to appear. After hearing her story, we decided not to make her day any worse, and she received a new gas cap at no charge.

For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Huntsville, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Subaru of Gallatin is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Subaru of Gallatin have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/28/2025, Subaru of Gallatin donated 120 shoes/socks to Children are People, Inc.. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

Subaru of Gallatin recently hosted a vibrant Customer Appreciation Day, designed to show our sincere gratitude to our valued patrons. The event was a resounding success, featuring complimentary refreshments including delicious hotdogs, refreshing sodas, and crispy chips, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. To add a touch of fun and engagement, we organized lively trivia sessions every half hour, testing our customers' knowledge and rewarding the winners with exciting prizes. The day was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a genuine sense of community, reinforcing the strong bond between Subaru of Gallatin and its loyal customers.

Sumner County Animal Control received a call about a bunch of dogs that were dumped in the woods. The responding officer found 20 small terrier dogs including two nursing mamas, an adult male and 17 puppies from at least two to three different litters. The Humane Society of Sumner County was contacted and were able to take in 14 of the dogs including both mamas and their puppies. The older puppies, who were already weaned, were in by another rescue. These dogs were terrified and had not been cared for. The mamas and their puppies were placed in two separate foster homes until they were old enough and healthy enough to complete their vetting and be offered for adoption. I'm happy to report that all the puppies survived despite their rough beginning and a few common puppy maladies for which they received medical attention. Josephine was one of the mama dogs. She had only been on the adoption floor for a few days at the time of the adoption event on October 19, 2024 with Subaru of Gallatin where she was a big hit. Despite her past, she blossomed into a loving, sweet girl who will enrich the life of her adopter (who preferred to not have an adoption picture) from now on.

Wade and Logan - Pamela R.

Wade and Logan were surrendered to the Humane Society of Sumner County as a bonded pair of brothers after their owner had to be admitted to a senior facility where they could not remain with her. Shih Tzus usually do not last long in the shelter environment as they are small, cute and highly adoptable. Wade and Logan were only approximately a year old when they were surrendered. They were in dire need of a good grooming and some training as they had not been well socialized or house trained. They became known for their "escape" tendencies and had to be monitored when in their outside kennels. They even escaped from the groomer who was cleaning them up but were soon recaptured. They became very sweet dogs who enjoyed people but preferred the company of each other. There was a lot of interest in the pups but no one wanted to take both. The Humane Society had made a commitment to the owners when the dogs were surrendered that we would keep them together and we were bound to honor that commitment. Wade and Logan were highlighted on our website and were part of the group of dogs that were at the adoption event held at Subaru of Gallatin on 10/19/2024. They were also included in a display in the lobby of the Subaru of Gallatin dealership which highlighted the dogs and cats available for adoption at the Humane Society of Sumner County. Wade and Logan found their perfect home on 10/31/2024, the last day of the adoption campaign, and we couldn't be happier. Every adoption saves a life as it allows the Humane Society of Sumner County to rescue another at risk animal.

Safe Space to Play - Shane D.

Thanks to Subaru of Gallatin, children between the age of 3 and 7 will be able to play soccer on a safe level surface away from the older children. Gallatin Soccer Club was able to level and spread seed for this new area. Being able to provide the younger children their own space gives them a chance to grow, make friends and enjoy their time on the field, in a safe and positive environment. We are so appreciative of Subaru of Gallatin and their generous donation to Lakeside Park Elementary school. We have had their support for multiple years now, and their efforts have not gone unnoticed. Our partnership with them has been very beneficial to our students and teachers. We feel very fortunate to receive three boxes of classroom supplies that teachers and students can benefit from. We had three members of Subaru come and bring supplies and visit the school. Each grade level also receives 500 dollars to use to purchase things through many different vendors. We are excited to use the supplies to increase students' engagement and excitement about different topics throughout the year. Having extra supplies will allow for teachers to plan more hands-on and engaging classroom activities. Our students love these types of activities and they are able to remember them for many years to come. We as a school have purchased extra indoor recess activities, books about different topics, and daily classroom supplies that we often run out of throughout the year. I have personally used these supplies to plan hands-on activities that focus around science such as planting plants and studying moon phases. These activities were talked about by students for multiple weeks after they were completed. They enjoyed the hands-on nature of these activities and Subaru made this possible. Also this past year as a first grade team we were able to purchase flexible seating for our students to enjoy. The flexible seating has been used for students throughout the day, so they can sit in a space that they are able to learn best. We have loved having the extra seating options available to students and we feel so grateful for Subaru’s donation. Thank you so much Subaru for your donation!

On the Road to Recovery!! - Miracle K.

Love promise moment from service I was in for maintenance and my SAS package expired because I was hospitalized. I didnt know what to do and how to pay for anything . MY head was spinning and was wondering what else can i go through? will i ever get a break? But when i went to service and told them about my car, Subaru of Gallatin service went above and beyond! For a pacemaker, they went ahead and took care of my service that day and got me back in my vehicle with everything taken care of and me on the road to good health.

Subaru of Gallatin master technician Derek Anneler was really excited when Community Life Bridge was selected as the Hometown Charity for the Share the Love event. After recently losing his grandmother, the mission and simple act of giving a ride appealed to him. Livia Manners is a Gallatin resident that lives in a senior living community with no transportation. She relies on the Community Life Ride (CLR) to get where she needs to go. Stressed about last-minute holiday grocery shopping, she scheduled a ride and was told to expect Derek in a Subaru Crosstrek for her ride. Livia says that she immediately asked if he’d heard of Derek and the Dominoes (he had not), and if she could make a stop at the pet store to pick up some gifts for her daughter’s dogs. Livia and Derek connected over their mutual love of dogs- Derek just got a new puppy- and discussed their holiday plans with their families. “He was so nice and helped me get in and out of the car. He even helped me get my groceries to my apartment, it was so helpful!” Both left feeling that they had made a friend, and Derek was happy to give back and make a difference. The sense of connection that naturally comes through service is special, and makes an impact on the lives of the volunteer drivers and the senior riders. Subaru of Gallatin offered this training to all employees and allows them to give rides with fleet vehicles, a serious upgrade from our average volunteer’s vehicle. We are so grateful for Subaru of Gallatin for sharing the love with riders like Livia.

Subaru of Gallatin helps send Station Camp HS cheer to compete at Nationals! - Katherine L.

Subaru of Gallatin's $3,000 sponsorship lead the way in helping SCHS Cheer to raise over $22,000 in sponsorship money to apply to our season. This was record-breaking for us, and we hope to continue to build on that in years to come! Our team of 26 girls competes regionally and nationally so fees for competition entry and team travel drive our fundraising efforts, but to be competitive at this level requires significant investment in choreography and skills training. As one of only two year-round high school sports, in addition to competing, our team also cheers at all SCHS home and away football and basketball games. These girls are committed to excellence in the classroom and on the field, court, and/or mat. The lifeskills these young ladies are developing as student athletes will benefit them for the rest of their lives. Thank you Subaru of Gallatin, for the generosity you show to our community, and for the important investment you are making in our team! In return for your generosity, Subaru of Gallatin has received visibility in the following ways: - Home football games draw an average crowd of 1,500 people, mostly from the local community. The cheerleaders are introduced at each game between the first and second quarters, and these introductions are preceded by, "SCHS Cheerleaders are presented tonight by Subaru of Gallatin." We also request that the announcer thank our generous sponsors, including Subaru of Gallatin, throughout each of the home games. - We used just over $600 of your $3,000 sponsorship to order 250 rally towels with the Subaru of Gallatin name prominently displayed. About half of the towels were distributed at home football games this season. The remaining towels will be distributed at home basketball games in the coming months. - On September 5th, we posted the attached video on the @thecampcheer Instagram page, tagging Subaru of Gallatin in the post. To date, this video has been played 1,737 times. - Basketball season started on November 18th and we will continue to use every home game as an opportunity to thank Subaru of Gallatin for the packed gym of fans.

At the age of 78, Gallatin resident Jackie Howard still proudly owns her own home, living alone with her little dog Puppy. She joined the Community Life Ride (CLR) program through Community Life Bridge two years ago. When she reached the end of her driving days, she felt completely reliant upon family. This took away a lot of her independence in life. Jackie is much like many of the CLR riders who reside in their own home and work hard to maintain their independence while relying on resources in their community. She has family that is close by to help, but they have busy lives with their own careers, taking care of children and their own schedules. Through the CLR program, Jackie now can get to the doctor, nail salon, and shopping with friendly volunteer drivers. Jackie never dreamed that through CLR she would connect with Subaru of Gallatin for a Share the Love day of service. This past year, the person who typically mow’s Jackie’s lawn had a heart attack. The leaves piled up this Fall, and she was at a loss. During the The 2023 Subaru Share the Love® Event , Subaru of Gallatin is partnering with Community Life Bridge and inquired if any of the seniors served might be in need of yard work. Jackie’s name was first on the list of those in need and a team of volunteers showed up! A team of Subaru Staff members led by General Manager Chris Hall took on Jackie’s yard with joy and servant hearts. Jackie peeked out her window in awe of this gift! She called the Community Life Bridge office so excited and sharing that she had people in her yard mowing, raking, and cleaning up despite the cold weather. She was OVERJOYED! This was such a gift to Jackie, who wasn’t sure what to do. She was so thrilled to have all the leaves out of her yard, the grass mowed and was so very thankful for all the work that was done! When we commented on the excellent and efficient work, a Subaru team member responded that Chris would not accept less, and that was very telling of the commitment to service and excellence at Subaru of Gallatin.
